Final Mission at RoboCup German Open 2013 Rescue Robot League competition
This video shows our complete final mission of Team Hector Darmstadt at the RoboCup German Open 2013 Rescue Robot League competition. We focus on robot autonomy, so the robot is controlled autonomously whenever possible. The robot has to search for simulated victims (emulated by babydolls and heating pads) and also map QR codes located in the environment. The environment is unknown to the robot, it thus has to perform Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) to localize itself and learn a map of the environment at the same time.
