In vier von 15 Bewerben gewannen polnische Roboter. sterreich ist in der Gesamtwertung auf Platz vier. 399 Roboter aus 23 Nationen traten an.
Die zehnte RobotChallenge, die am Wochenende in Wien ber die Bhne ging, wurde von polnischen Konstrukteuren dominiert. Sie belegten bei dem nach Angaben der Veranstalter grten Roboter-Wettbewerb Europas mit insgesamt zehn Medaillen zum dritten Mal in Folge Platz eins im Gesamtranking.

At the 2013 SXSW Interactive Festival, IEEE presented the "Charismatic Machines & Robot Comedy" featuring Heather Knight, Electrical Engineer and Roboticist, and her robot, Data. Heather designs unique interfaces between people and machines that incorporate body language, personality, humor, temperament and spectacular stylings. Leveraging her research, Heather explores the ways psychology, expressive emotion, behavior system design and art influence the positive evolution of charismatic technology.

In an age where highly capable machines enter our daily lives, social robotics focuses on how machines can empower people -- not replace them.

FRC 2013 | Team 639 | Code Red Robotics

Update: Code Red seeded second and won the Buckeye Regional with alliance partners 2252 and 2834. See everyone in St. Louis!

The Red Raptor is Ithaca based team 639's entry to the 2013 FIRST Robotics Competition; Ultimate Ascent. The robot raises an arm to quickly shoot in four discs to the high and pyramid goals. A the end of the match, the robot uses momentum to climb the first rung of the pyramid.

Code Red will be competing at Fingerlakes and Buckeye Regional.
