XHover MXP230 mini quadcopter review (part 2)

In part 2 of this review the MXP230 FPV mini RC quadcopter is given some flight testing -- and everyone loves it.

Although this review was obstensibly about the MXP230, it was also a good test of the FrSky Delta8 receiver and the HL2304 motors, both of which performed very well.

Despite the best efforts of several Forest Fliers members, the mini quadcopter suffered no damage and was in hot demand.

First-time mini-quad fliers found it very easy to fly and the most experienced mini-quad racer in the club loved its great turn of speed.

I think it's fair to say that this is another very good mini quadcopter and that nobody who buys this machine will be disappointed with the quality or performance of this frame, when fitted out with motors and a Naze32 or Naze Afro Mini flight controller.

It's a thumbs up from everyone!

XHover MXP230 mini quadcopter review (part 1)

One of the original FPV mini quadcopters is reviewed and in part 1 I talk about the build.

This is the fiberglass version of the XHover MXP230 and here are the pro's cons:

Pro's:
- super-accurate parts fit perfectly
- good quality hardware provided
- super-quick build
- includes a power-distribution board
- allows for use of a tiltable FPV camera

Con's:
- perhaps a little heavier than some carbon frames

Just arrived.. XHover MXP230 mini quadcopter

Yes, another mini-quadcopter for review. This time it's the MXP230 from XHover and I'll be looking at both the standard (fiberglass) and the "elite" (carbon) versions.

Pretty shortly, I'll be lining all these miniquads up and, thanks to the FrSky telemetry and the datalogging of the Taranis, I'll see which is fastest, which has the most "punch" and also which represents the best bang for your buck plus which has the best overall performance.
