NASA's Morpheus Lander - Highest Flight Yet - HD
NASA's Morpheus Lander - Highest Flight Yet - HD NASA MSFC's prototype planetary lander made its fastest (~30 mph) and highest ascent (580 feet) on March 11, 2014. The flight lasted 83-seconds and it touched down on a landing pad 837 feet 'downrange' from the launchpad.

XQM/NASA Video Series: 5) Planetary Lake Lander - Intelligent Robots Camera
The Planetary Lake Lander project is testing robotic systems that can be used to search for signatures of life in our solar system. The roboticists on the team include Professor David Wettergreen, along with Dr. Liam Pedersen and Dr. Trey Smith. Pedersen and Smith are responsible for assembling and monitoring the Lake Lander and its sensing equipment. Professor Wettergreen is developing a smart camera, whose function he explains.

The Jet Propulsion Lab's experimental G-FOLD divert algorithm landing system was tested on September 20, 2013 at the Mohave Air & Space Port - using a Masten Xombie landing craft. The algorithm allows a rocket to select an alternate landing site without human input.

'Mighty Eagle' NASA Robotic Prototype Lander
Mighty Eagle 'Rocks' Flight Testing Series. The 'Mighty Eagle,' a NASA robotic prototype lander, recently completed a series of test objectives -- even going as high as 100 feet for several free flights. The vehicle is a three-legged prototype that resembles an actual flight lander design. It is 4 feet tall and 8 feet in diameter and, when fueled, weighs 700 pounds.
