Exoskeleton Makes You Strong Like... 'Hercules' - Hi-Tech

A cobot is a "collaborative robot" or exoskeleton which can help people run or walk while carrying heavy objects.

In France the 'Hercules' exoskeleton has been developed over the last five years by RB3D, a robotics company specialising in strength assistance.

This is just the latest version in an ongoing development project by the firm, which is based in Auxerre, around 200 kilometres south of Paris...

Ape-Like RoboSimian Under Construction

RoboSimian is an ape-like robot designed to meet the disaster-recovery tasks of the DARPA Robotics Challenge.

This video shows RoboSimian and its unique hands under construction at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif., as well as simulations of the finished robot.

The RoboSimian team is led by JPL. Stanford University, Palo Alto, Calif., collaborated on the development of the robot's unique hands.

Newest Honda ASIMO Robot Moves Like A Human

The Asimo's latest edition, unveiled on April 16, can run briskly, climb stairs with ease, dance like Travolta, kick a ball and jump up in down in what can only be described as a robot tantrum.

The 4 feet tall, 115-pound robot now features five dextrous fingers on each hand with force feedback sensors. As we saw in its first North America demonstration on Wednesday, ASIMO can pick up a sealed container filled with orange juice, unscrew the top, pick up a paper up with its other hand, pour the juice and carefully set both cup and container back on the table.

Soft-Bodied Robot Fish Can Swim Like the Real Thing

More science news and info at: http://www.coconutsciencelab.com - in the first issue of the journal, 'Soft Robotics,' MIT researchers report on their new self-contained, autonomous, soft robotic "fish."

Each side of the fish's tail has a long channel bored through it. Carbon dioxide gas from a canister in the fish's abdomen causes the channel to inflate, bending the tail in the opposite direction.

The robotic fish was built by Andrew Marchese, a graduate student in MIT's Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
