Syma X8C Big Size Outdoor Radio Control Quadcopter with Camera

Syma X8C is the latest Quadcopter with 2MP camera from Syma. Its a big Quadcopter but sadly a failed attempt to copy the DJI Phantom. However, still its a cheap option for those who want to learn to fly a Quadcopter outdoors with a big sized Quadcopter.

Syma X8C does not offer any GPS features. But it has a mediocre quality 2MP Camera which honestly is nothing but a waste and disappointment.

Quadcopter itself is a big nice quad and very stable flight performance.

We take the new DJI Phantom 3 Advanced and Professional quadcopters out for some test flights! Eric Cheng of DJI joins us to discuss how these new quads differ from previous models in terms of their flight capability and cameras, bringing in features previously introduced in the Inspire 1. We then put these quadcopters up in the air to test the new stabilization systems and 4K video!

'DARPA revealed upgrades to its Atlas robot on January 20, 2015. The robot was redesigned for DARPA by Boston Dynamics, with the goal of improving power efficiency to better support battery operation. Approximately 75 percent of the robot was rebuilt; only the lower legs and feet were carried over from the original design. The upgraded robot will be used by up to seven teams competing in the DARPA Robotics Challenge Finals, which will take place June 5-6, 2015, at Fairplex in Pomona, Calif.

SEAPerch Underwater Robot Competition

On April 26th, Prince William County School System had their SEAPerch competition at George Mason University in Fairfax Virginia.

This video shows the three phases of the competition: Maneuvering, Recovery and TeamWork.

A colleague and I spent the day at the competition, watching and learning how the kids liked this experiment in building underwater Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs).

We were not affiliated with any of the groups involved.

Lockheed Martin shipped NASA's MAVEN spacecraft to the Kennedy Space Center, Fla. on Friday, Aug. 2. Han, a lifelike humanoid robot from Hanson Robotics at the Global Sources Mobile Electronics show.

Hanson Robotics, creator of human-like robots and smart software, introduced Han at the Global Sources Mobile Electronics show held in Hong Kong at the Asia World Expo from April 18-21, 2015.

Han is the companys newest lifelike humanoid that can react to facial expressions, engage in conversation and even make eye contact. Hanson uses a skin-like material called Frubber on their robots, which looks and feels like human skin.
